In Feucherolles, HORUS Paysages took on an ambitious challenge: transforming a 6,500 m² plot into a rustic garden that offers a peaceful haven. Inspired by the site’s rural past, the design combines meadows, orchards, and woodlands to create an ecosystem in harmony with its surroundings.
A Rustic Garden That Disconnects from the Urban World
The first step was to soften the urban presence and immerse the occupants in a natural, calming environment. The garden needed to provide a visual and sensory escape for its owners.
- Creating a wooded green cocoon: Dense and varied vegetation masks neighboring buildings. This natural enclosure preserves privacy while creating a warm atmosphere.
- Preserving an open view of the countryside: A visual opening was kept to the west. This point directs the gaze toward a rural panorama, enhancing the feeling of escape.
- Drawing inspiration from rural landscapes: By avoiding modern decorations, the garden offers “scenes” that recall the landscapes of the past.
