Our role was to offer this small family home a natural setting that was easy to live in. The constraint was to keep a large opening on the neighboring garden while making the vis à vis with the building disappear.
A setting of grasses
The selected species are : Calamagrostis acutiflora, Calamagrostis brachytricha, pennisetum alopecuroides, Miscanthus sinensis, Gaura lindheimeri, Verbena bonariensis. In winter the foliage is left to frost for a very natural and poetic effect.
A high field stratum
The hedges are composed of Amelanchier ovalis. Some shrubs emerge from the beds like Prunus subhirtella autumnalis, Amelanchier canadensis or betula utilis
Here are some pictures of the planting site. Here you will see perennials in a bucket of 9 with a density of about 6 per m2. The stock is in 200/250.
